Stuck, Broken, and Overwhelmed?
Life can feel like an endless cycle of pain and confusion.
You may wake up each day feeling trapped, as if tomorrow will be exactly like today, filled with the same relentless struggles.
Lost in a fog of disconnection.
Unable to find peace or safety in your surroundings; walking on eggshells.
Constantly protecting yourself, yet never getting to know yourself.
You Don’t Have to Face This Alone
Relationships feel strained by the fear of being a burden or too much. Self-doubt creeps in, leaving you wondering if you’ll ever be good enough. Fear is at every step. You are angry at yourself. You are constantly on edge. Emotions simmer beneath the surface. It feels impossible to move forward because uncertainty lies ahead. Carrying this can feel isolating, like no one understands.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Let’s work together to break the cycle.
Stop Existing and Start Living
What if there were a future where memories no longer haunt you?
Safety is no longer foreign to you.
The constant flurry of “What is wrong with me?” stops playing in your mind.
You feel good about yourself.
Specializations and Trainings
depth of field
The expert brushstrokes in a therapist’s palette, honed through focused training and experience
Eye Movement Desensitization And Reprocessing (EMDR)
Imagine your mind as a tangled ball of yarn, each thread representing a memory or emotion. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy gently guides you through the process of unraveling these threads, one by one. Like skillful hands carefully working through knots, EMDR helps you navigate past traumas and distressing experiences, allowing you to reorganize and weave a new narrative. As the knots loosen and the yarn straightens, clarity emerges, enabling you to create a stronger, smoother fabric of resilience and well-being.
Art Therapy
When words fail to encapsulate the complexity of our inner world, art steps in as a universal language, communicating the unspoken depths of our psyche. Through painting, drawing, or sculpting, we bypass linguistic barriers, delving into the raw essence of our experiences. Art whispers the truths we struggle to articulate, offering solace, insight, and healing. In the dance between the conscious and the subconscious, art becomes the eloquent storyteller of our untold narratives, speaking volumes where words fall short.
Dialectial Behavior Threapy (DBT)
DBT is like being a master weaver of your life’s tapestry. It helps you untangle the knots and mend the tears, using mindfulness and skills to create a harmonious design. Just as a skilled artisan balances contrasting colors, DBT teaches you to balance acceptance and change, creating a resilient masterpiece from life’s complexities.

FAQs
How are the Sessions Conducted?
Virtual sessions are conducted through secure video conferencing platforms. Your therapist will provide instructions on how to connect before your scheduled appointment.
What if I Don’t Have Trauma?
Even if you haven’t directly experienced trauma, understanding how trauma-informed therapy works can be beneficial for everyone. Trauma-informed therapy operates on the principle of recognizing the widespread impact of trauma on individuals and society. It emphasizes creating a safe, supportive environment that acknowledges the potential for trauma in all individuals.
In this context, trauma is often categorized into ‘big T’ and ‘little T’ trauma. Big T trauma refers to major events. On the other hand, little T trauma encompasses smaller, yet still significant, experiences such as emotional neglect, bullying, or ongoing stressors. Regardless of the scale, trauma-informed therapy approaches aim to empower individuals by fostering resilience, promoting healing, and restoring a sense of agency.
In essence, trauma specialists offer specialized clinical services for individuals directly affected by trauma, while trauma-informed approaches aim to create supportive environments that recognize and respond to the needs of trauma survivors across various settings.
What Commitment is Required?
Therapy works best when it is honest and consistent. Therapy’s standard practice is one 53 minute session per week; however, we adjust this to fit needs and especially as you are practicing the work outside of sessions we decrease sessions
What should I do before my first session?
Preparing for your initial therapy session is straightforward. Take a moment to reflect on your goals and any specific concerns you want to address. Consider jotting down questions or topics you’d like to discuss during the session. Familiarize yourself with session logistics, such as location and complete paperwork. The first session after the consultation is an intake where we do an assessment and build a collaborative treatment plan. It is more of a question answer format; however, future sessions will vary in structure as we continue based on your needs and plan.
How Much Do Sessions Cost?
Therapy fees vary depending on the therapist’s credentials, experience, and the type of services provided. We offer competitive rates and flexible payment options to accommodate our clients’ financial needs. I encourage you to bring up financial needs at the time of your consultation as sliding scale accommodations are able to be made.
Do you Accept Insurance?
I am an Out of Network provider, meaning I am not in-network with any insurance plans, and I do not submit any information to insurance for payment coverage of clients’ sessions.
Clients are required to pay the session cost up-front after every session. I provide clients with a document called a superbill after each session which contains the requisite information that most insurance companies need to determine out of network benefits (reimbursement for a portion of the session cost that the client paid me up-front). It is important to note that most insurance plans have an Out of Network deductible, which is an amount that an individual needs to pay out of pocket before the insurance company starts reimbursing for part of the session cost. I cannot guarantee reimbursement and I strongly encourage clients to contact their insurance providers to obtain information about their Out of Network benefits and how to file an Out of Network claim.
Good Faith Estimate
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
What questions should I ask my Insurance Provider about Out of Network Benefits?
- Your insurance ID should have a customer service phone number on the back which you can call. When speaking with a representative, here are some ideas of questions to ask:
- Does the insurance provider reimburse for individual mental health therapy appointments with an Out of Network licensed clinical mental health counselor?
- What is the reimbursement rate?
- What is the annual Out of Network deductible that needs to be met before reimbursement can start?
- Are there any restrictions for meeting with an Out of Network licensed clinical mental health counselor?
- How does one file an Out of Network claim and submit the corresponding superbill?
- How long, on average, does it take to receive reimbursement payment after a claim is submitted?
